Clinton's street bakery cafe Lower east side  Breakfast and brunch Train: F Want to impress your friends with a delicious breakfast. Be prepared its cash ONLY, and make sure you prepare for a little wait.....but worth it. The atmosphere is fresh clean and exciting. This weekend has been about new and different restaurants who make food with love. They really take cafe of their patrons but also cook everything with love I got the chicken and waffles: boneless tasty delicious waffle. Fluffy and cook to perfection with homemade maple butter syrup. I asked for the honey jalapeño to be on the side because I didn't want too much and didn't know if it was spicy. It was a perfect combination. Love it!!! The combination was amazing and on the side isn't an option. Wow. It was out of this world. I got coffee and fresh squeeze orange juice. The coffee was strong and only two cups. (Normally I have about three or four).  Overall great location and it...

Restaurant Week

Kellogg's diner Brooklyn, NY (Williamsburg) Train: G and walking three blocks or so F train  I mean WE did come on Labor Day weekend  at 200am .  Menu:  http://www.urbanspoon.com/cities/3-new-york/restaurants/31424-kellogg-s-diner/menu Service was ok, one lady on the floor. The barback kept having to tell me to wait up. I had lots of questions and just wanted to know. I wasn't inpatient but really had some things to ask before ordering. She was running all food, cleaning and taking orders. I don't think that they knew it was Labor Day weekend. Two people should have been on the floor at least. It was insane... The atmosphere is very diner like. Silver walls with that old school look and feel. I Iove diners a lot. The look, feel, and no judgement and you can wear whatever. Don't get me wrong, people watching is my favorite at diners. You defiantly get a lot of options on the menu as well. I ordered fritatta: veggie add bacon and cheese. I tried somet...

Good enough to eat

I was out and about the other day heading to Upper West Manhattan. I hadn't eaten breakfast and decided to google a brunch spot. It was a little past 1000am and I was kind of getting a little hungry. I found what was to be the best little kept secret on Columbus... This place was a definite hole in the wall who had a line wrapped around the building, for the duration of my entire meal. I walked in and decided sitting at the bar makes sense and then I don't have to wait in line; alone and starving. I walked in without a wait and sat down to have water and coffee in front of me within mins. I love that. I also knew it was going to be a great day. I started to browse the menu, when I knew I had a taste of both savory and sweet. Ahhhh.....that's usually every single time. I decided to go with the pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I had yet another cup of coffee and one more because it was honestly VERY delicious. Most people would have had drinks, but I cant start my morning o...
