This year I have been to two lil ones birthdays, can I just say they are growing up WAYYYY to fast. I have two more little ones and then two more 2nd generation grandchildren b-days to attend. I can 't believe its going sooo fast. I think daily about me wanting children, but at this point in my life I have only me to watch out for and feel I don't have room for children right now. I would like to share with you the planning and the insides of a little ones party. I will also talk about prices as well.

The [1] planning is usually where Daisha comes into play and I know how to plan a party. I love the ideas on the internet and when you have identified a theme and color its really easy to find little things. I love this [2] theme of a 3 year old birthday party "Mickey and Minnie". In fact it was the birthday girls, Amaya's idea.

Just ask your children, they are the BEST help you can ask for. When your planning you have to realize people who don't have kids or reach out to those who are willing to help. I LOVE planning things, but it becomes really stressful. If you can get someone else to help with [3] expenses and location, [4] prepare food/cake or help out with [5] games or even [6] face painting. It makes the planning process fun and its cool to see it all fall into place. Victoria bought a little Minnie dress from online (which you can find anywhere). Just Google " Minnie dress" or whatever [7] dress/alfit you have in mind. It's your little ones birthday so why not get her all dressed up, she will feel like a princess.

Now that you have figured out the most important things you need to get this party planned. Sending out invitations need to be sent out at least 3 weeks in advance, or use the free resources (facebook and evite). [8] Each of these sites allow you to see RSVP's and send out updates via email or post. This allows others to chat with others and see whats going on for the party and guests can communicate via posts. People tend to buy presents based upon the theme!!!

[9] Day of the event. Set up a day before which takes out a lot of your time day of party. This allows you to double check your list and ensure you have everything. If you have any friends who have asked to help this is a time to reach out to them (ice, candles, matches, etc.)

Now you have most this on your check list marked off lets look at others MAJOR items not to forget decorations have came together, cake has arrived (either a friend is making it or you ordered it from a local store). I suggest you take a few minutes to look at a local business who makes majority of the celeb cakes, friends, and much more cakes for Seattle, WA. If you haven't heard of House of Cakes in Seattle, WA I think you should look them up.....

As I mentioned earlier, remember who's bringing what and check the list twice, along with asking them how things are going to ensure they are bring enough etc. My friend Victoria decided to cater the birthday party and believe me this is a great idea as well. It makes the easy clean and serve portions for your guest at ease. Always remember to follow your budget. This can be a little pricey but it saves a lot of time as well.

Activities and games are very important as much as cake and presents, but it always keeps the kids entertained and the day goes by quick. Time is a very important protocol for the day. When planning a kids birthday party keep in mind kids get tired and bored quickly and you want something to keep them busy. As they get older they get more active and fussy. The first birthday party is a little laid back, but always keep in mind of older kids that maybe attending. Lets talk about games.

"Pin the tail on the donkey" has changed over the years into fun and featured in many birthdays all over the world. You can ALWAYS find one to fit your theme....Pin the flower on Minnie to pin the caterpillar on the butterfly.

You never can go wrong with a pinata and the kids love it. Please make sure you stuff it with KID friendly candies. Victoria had found a pinata which had strings. Each kid picks one and pull it, and one lucky kid will make all the candy come out. In fact is safe and easy to clean up. You can find any type of pinata to match very well for your theme.

[10] Please take mental note of everyone who helped with what. Its very important to know who will be doing what, but especially those who really pitched in when you didn't ask or expected. While your planning the party get gift cards; starbucks, seattle best, tullys, subway cards, barnes and nobles gift cards. These are always great little gifts. I personally LOVE to hit up the dollar store and get gift bags and add little presents, but hand them out so your not playing favorites and even I don't know who is getting what. Also keep them to a 5.00 limit. You do have a budget still.

[11] Lets talk about what went well and what we can work on. Honestly you always can work on something and every year will get more and more challenging, because of friends and events that may interrupt each year. Although, one thing you need to remember, you can't always please everyone and its always about who the part is for...
