Dry Brine (Oh yeahs I'm ALL over this)...
I was watching the foodnetwork all sunday until the Seahawks played. I found this tasteful recipe and needed to try it...
Honestly I can watch Foodnetwork it all day long. I love it more than anything ever.
This DRY brine is perfect for me. Its easy and I will be making this...
(overnight brine): Its key for a tasty delicious flavorful turkey
Ingredients.....
1 - 2 teaspoon of orange Zest
2 sprigs of Rosemary and thyme; finely chopped
2 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon pepper to a food processor and mix together, then add the zest and mix together.
The aromas are out of this world.
Directions....
Then once you have cleaned and patted your turkey. Place the turkey in a shallow baking pan. Lather the turkey with the tasty ingredients. Place in the fridge (over night).
Then uncovered for a few hours.
Melt 1/4 cup butter, take the turkey out and baste the turkey with some butter all over the baby.
Place the yummy turkey in the oven.
Ok so I didn't cook this on Thanksgiving. I actually wrote it down and then cooked it on EASTER WEEKEND (2015)
I cooked a boneless turkey breast about 3-4 lb for 4 hours and it was mouth watering fall off the "bone" flavors.
I left the turkey brine for a whole day and came home and let the oven & turkey do the magic. I added mash potatoes, and asparagus to the menu. It was simple delicious.
Leftover Recipe 101...
This is when I decided to take the turkey and make soup.
Over the past few weeks its been really cold (even know its Spring) in NYC.
I fired up the oven with some of Chelsea Markets (Manhattan Exchange) veggies.
Just under 5.00 bucks I was able to make soup.
