Candy Cane Rods














Ingredients

20 count pretzel rods
5 chunks of white "homemade" chocolate
1 large peppermint candy cane; crushed into small pieces

Directions

Add two chunks of chocolate to the microwave safe bowl. Boil water in a small pot (the bowl will fit over the pot). Place the bowl onto the top of the pot. Let chocolate take its coarse to smooth land....
Meanwhile take your few mins to get a hammer, meat tenderizer, or hard metal rod (because you have these laying around). Add a huge piece of candy cane to a bag, lay a towel over it, and place on a surface that can take a few hits without damaging it (I used the floor); lay down a towel just in case). Only two swipes and then a few little ones. set aside. Stir the chocolate intermediately to ensure it all gets melted.

Once the chocolate is melted them take a spoon and rod adding the melted chocolate to the rod (using the back of the spoon). Two layers to ensure it gets fully caked on. Lay on the parchment paper, sprinkle the candy cane pieces. Continue until all the rods are covered.
